Share a file or a folder

CONTENTS

You can share files and folders to other group members via links. However, External Groups cannot use link sharing.

When you create a link to share for a folder or a file,  will be displayed on the list.

Link sharing is available only when the team or group administrator has activated the link sharing function.

Create a link to share

Mobile

  1. Go to Folder and tap next to the folder or file you want to send.
  2. Tap ‘Share’.
  3. Tap ‘Share link’.
  4. Set the link access authority and the valid period.
    • Link access authority: You can limit access to everyone who knows the link, company employees, or only those who authenticated with password or OTP (One-time password).
    • Valid period: You can select from: no limit, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, and 180 days.
    • Can edit: When you share a folder with permission to edit, people you shared the folder to can edit the file name, delete, or upload a new file.
  5. Tap ‘Confirm’ to create a link to share.

PC Web

  1. Click  on the top.
  2. Click a Team/Group Message Room from the message room list.
  3. Click the ‘Folder’ tab on the top right of the message room.
  4. Click  on the right side of the file or folder you want to share.
  5. Click ‘Share link’.
  6. Select ‘Share link’ or ‘Share security link’ and click ‘Share link’.
  7. For ‘Share link’, click ‘Copy’. For ‘Share security link’, set the link access authority, the user authority, and the valid period.
    • Link sharing settings
      • Link access authority: Select the target to grant access.
        • Anyone who knows the link: Anyone who knows the link can access the link.
        • Company employees only: Only the company employees can access link.
        • Only those who know the password: Only those who know the link and the password can access the link.
      • User authority: Select the scope of authority granted to the people you shared the link to.
        • Can edit: Shared members can edit or delete folders or files.
        • Read only: Shared members can only view folders or files.
      • Set valid period: You can set the valid period for link sharing.
        • On: Set the expiration date for link sharing.
        • Off: Do not set the expiration date for link sharing.
    • Security link sharing settings
      • Link access authority: You can only select ‘Accessible via OTP verification’.
        • Accessible only on first verified browser: The link will only be accessible on the first verified browser.
        • Caution: If the browser’s cookies are deleted, you need to share the link again.
      • User authority: Select the scope of authority granted to the people you shared link to.
        • Can edit: Shared members can edit or delete folders or files.
        • Read only: Shared members can only view folders or files.
      • Set valid period: You can set the expiration date for link sharing.
        • On: Set the expiration date for link sharing.
        • Off: Do not set the expiration date for link sharing.
      • People who can access: Add or delete the email addresses of people you want to share.

Copy and send a shared link

You can copy shared links for a file or a folder and send them via email or messages.

Mobile

  1. Go to Folder and tap next to the folder or file you have shared.
  2. Tap ‘Share’.
  3. Tap ‘Copy link’ and paste the link in an email or message to share the link.

PC Web

  1. Click  on the top.
  2. Click a Team/Group Message Room from the message room list.
  3. Click the ‘Folder’ tab on the top right of the message room.
  4. Click  on the right side of the file or folder you want to share.
  5. Hover the mouse over ‘Manage link’.
  6. Click ‘Copy link’ and paste the link in an email or message to share the link.

Delete a shared link

If you no longer need to share a folder or a file, you can delete the shared link.

Mobile

  1. Go to Folder and tap next to the folder or file you have shared.
  2. Tap ‘Share’.
  3. Tap ‘Manage link’.
  4. Tap ‘Delete link’ to delete the shared link.

PC Web

  1. Click  on the top.
  2. Click a Team/Group Message Room from the message room list.
  3. Click the ‘Folder’ tab on the top right of the message room.
  4. Click  on the right side of the file or folder you want to share.
  5. Hover the mouse over ‘Manage link’.
  6. Click ‘Manage link’.
  7. Click ‘Delete’.

Check the status of a shared link

You can check the details of shared folders or files such as access authority, valid period, and permission to edit.

Mobile

  1. Tap  next to the folder or file you have shared.
  2. Tap ‘Share’.
  3. Tap ‘Manage link’ to see the details.

PC Web

  1. Click  on the top.
  2. Click a Team/Group Message Room from the message room list.
  3. Click the ‘Folder’ tab on the top right of the message room.
  4. Click  on the right side of the file or folder you want to share.
  5. Hover the mouse over ‘Manage link’.
  6. Click ‘Manage link’.
  7. Click ‘Manage link’ to see the details.

Check the shared link history

If you are sharing a link to a folder or a file, you can check the history of the shared link. By checking the history, you can check if all necessary members have downloaded the file, or if the file has been changed or deleted.

Mobile

  1. Tap  next to the folder or file you have shared.
  2. Tap ‘Share’.
  3. Tap ‘Manage link’ to see the details.
  4. Tap ‘Link History’.

PC Web

  1. Click  on the top.
  2. Click a Team/Group Message Room from the message room list.
  3. Click the ‘Folder’ tab on the top right of the message room.
  4. Click on the right side of the file or folder you want to share.
  5. Hover the mouse over ‘Manage link’.
  6. Click ‘Link history’.
    Click ‘Download’ on the top right of the activity log to download the activity log file.
