Automatic replies to external messages

If you receive a message from a LINE user on a particular day of the week and time slot, you can set an automatic reply to share your working hours and availability.

You can use the automatic reply function on public holidays to send automatic replies throughout the day.

However, only the members allowed to use LINE connection by the administrator can set up the automatic reply. Also, the contents of the automatic reply message will only be sent when the message is sent in the 1:1 message room.

Automatic replies to external messages

Set up an automatic reply to external messages

Mobile

  1. Tap ‘More’ on the bottom right.
  2. Open My Profile.
  3. Tap ‘Auto-reply to external messages’.
  4. Turn on ‘Auto-reply to external messages’.
  5. Set the automatic reply time and write the reply contents.
    1. Tap ‘Add hours’ below the Auto-Reply Time menu to select the day and time when the message will be sent. If you turn on ‘All Day’, the message is sent automatically throughout the selected day for 24 hours.
    2. Turn on/off ‘Auto-reply on public holidays’. When you turn on ‘Auto-reply on public holidays’, the automatic reply is sent throughout the day on public holidays for 24 hours regardless of the automatic reply hours previously set.
    3. Tap ‘Auto-reply Message’ to enter the message for automatic reply.
  6. Save the set time and content you wrote.
    • Android: Tap on the top left.
    • iOS: Tap ‘Save’ on the top right.

PC Web

  1. Click  on the bottom left and click ‘Settings’.
  2. Click ‘Message’ on the left.
  3. Click  right to ‘Enable auto-reply to external messages’.
  4. Turn on ‘Auto-reply to external messages’.
  5. Click ‘Add schedule’ on the right of the Auto-Reply Time menu to add the hours when the automatic reply will be sent.
    1. Select the day and time when the message will be sent. If you turn on ‘All Day’, the message is sent automatically throughout the selected day for 24 hours.
    2. Click ‘Save’ to save changes.
  6. Turn on/off ‘Auto-reply on public holidays’. If you turn this function on, the automatic reply is sent throughout the day on public holidays for 24 hours regardless of the automatic reply hours previously set.
  7. Enter the message for the automatic reply.
  8. Click ‘Save’ at the bottom.

PC App

  1. Click  on the bottom left of the screen.
  2. Click ‘Settings’.
  3. Click the ‘Chat with external members’ tab.
  4. Select ‘Auto-reply to external messages’.
  5. Click ‘Add schedule’ at the bottom of the Auto-Reply Time menu to add the hours when the automatic reply will be sent.
    1. Select the day and time when the message will be sent. If you click ‘All Day’, the message is sent automatically throughout the selected day for 24 hours.
    2. Click ‘OK’ to save changes.

  7. Enter the message for the automatic reply.
  8. Click ‘Apply’ at the bottom.

Change the automatic reply time for external messages

Mobile

  1. Tap ‘More’ on the bottom right.
  2. Open My Profile.
  3. Tap ‘Auto-reply to external messages’.
  4. Tap  on the right of the Auto-Reply Time that you have set.
  5. Tap ‘Edit’.
  6. Change the day and time.
  7. Save the changes.
    • Android: Tap    on the top left.
    • iOS: Tap ‘Save’ on the top right.

PC Web

  1. Click  on the bottom left and click ‘Settings’.
  2. Click ‘Message’ on the left.
  3. Click  on the right of ‘Manage auto-reply to external messages’.
  4. Click ‘Edit’ on the right of the Auto-Reply Time that you have set.
  5. Change the day and time in the ‘Auto-Reply Time’ window.
  6. Click ‘Save’.

PC App

  1. Click  at the bottom left of the screen.
  2. Click ‘Settings’.
  3. Click the ‘Chat with external members’ tab.
  4. Click ‘Edit’ on the right of the Auto-Reply Time that you have set.
  5. Change the day and time in the ‘Auto-Reply Time’ window.
  6. Click ‘OK’.

Delete time slot for the automatic reply

You can delete the set automatic reply time slots, however, there must be at least one automatic reply time slot set.

Mobile

  1. Tap ‘More’ on the bottom right.
  2. Open My Profile.
  3. Tap ‘Auto-reply to external messages’.
  4. Tapon the right of the Auto-Reply Time that you have set.
  5. Tap ‘Delete’.
  6. Save the changes.
    • Android: Tap    on the top left.
    • iOS: Tap ‘Save’ on the top right.

PC Web

  1. Click  on the bottom left and click ‘Settings’.
  2. Click ‘Message’ on the left.
  3. Click  on the right of ‘Manage auto-reply to external messages’.
  4. Click ‘Delete’ on the right of the Auto-Reply Time that you have set.

PC App

  1. Click  at the bottom left of the screen.
  2. Click ‘Settings’.
  3. Click the ‘Chat with external members’ tab.
  4. Click ‘Delete’ on the right of the Auto-Reply Time that you have set.

Turn off automatic replies to messages

If you turn off the automatic reply function, it will no longer send automatic replies.

Mobile

  1. Tap ‘More’ on the bottom right.
  2. Open My Profile.
  3. Tap ‘Auto-reply to external messages’.
  4. Turn off ‘Auto-reply to external messages’.
  5. Save the changes.
    • Android: Tap    on the top left.
    • iOS: Tap ‘Save’ on the top right.

PC Web

  1. Click  on the bottom left and select ‘Settings’.
  2. Click ‘Message’ on the left.
  3. Click on the right of ‘Manage auto-reply to external messages’.
  4. Turn off ‘Enable auto-reply to external messages’

PC App

  2. Click ‘Settings’.
  3. Click the ‘Chat with external members’ tab.
  4. Turn off ‘Auto-reply to external messages’.
