You can check and download the device information connected to the LINE WORKS mobile app, PC app, and Drive Explorer.

If an app installed on each device is not up to date, you can send an update notification to encourage members to update to the latest version.

Check device list

  1. Select 'Security' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Device Status' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus. 
  2. Press 'Mobile' or 'PC' on the top.
    • 'Mobile' displays a list of devices connected to the mobile app.
    • 'PC' displays a list of devices connected to the PC app or Drive Explorer.

The following are the detailed descriptions of each field.

Device
  • The model name of the device is displayed.
  • Press the model name of the device to view the detailed information. If the device has LINE WORKS MDM (Mobile Device Management) installed, you can delete the app data or reset the device.
  • When using the LINE WORKS MDM, the information on whether the device has the profile installed for mobile device management (MDM) is displayed.
    If you use a 3rd party MDM, you cannot check the profile installation status in LINE WORKS. For the external MDM users, the device is always displayed as 'Unregistered'.
Vendor ID
  • The unique value that the device generated. It is not displayed on the device. Resetting the device changes the Vendor ID. However, it will not change when you delete or reinstall the LINE WORKS app.
  • You can check the Vendor ID of devices that use LINE WORKS MDM and 3rd party MDM.
User
  • The name and ID of the member who accessed the mobile app on this device are displayed.
  • Press the name of the device users to view the detailed information and access the member management window.
OS
  • The type and version of the device operating system are displayed.
Installed App
  • The version of the LINE WORKS app accessed most recently from this device is displayed.
  • If the mobile app is not up to date, you can send an update notice through service notification.
Recent Access
  • The date and time of the user's most recent access from the device are displayed.
  • This information is updated when you sign in to the mobile app again, or when you are on the app after 24 hours since the last access.

Search for devices with specific conditions

You can check the list of devices that meet the search criteria.

  1. Select 'Security' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Device Status' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus. 
  2. Press at the top right of the device list.
    • User: You can search for devices accessed by a specific member.
    • Device: You can search by device model name.
    • OS: You can see the results only with iOS devices or Android devices.
    • OS Version: You can search by the version of the device operating system.
    • Installed App: You can search by the type of installed app.
    • App version You can search for devices with a specific LINE WORKS app version or older.
    • Last access: You can search for devices with the last access date within 30 days, 6 months, 1 year, or All. Select or enter the values that meet your search criteria.
  3. Press 'Search'.

Update notification

Select 'Security' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Device Status' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus. 

Send update notification to one member

You can send update notifications to users of specific devices. The update notification function is convenient when a new version of LINE WORKS is released.

  1. Select a device to send update notifications from the device list. You can use the detailed search to only view devices with an app version older than a specific version.
  2. Press 'Update notification' to view the dialogue box on whether to send the update notification.
  3. Press 'OK' to send an update notification to the member who uses the selected device. Send notification on 'Mobile' for mobile app update notification. For PC app notification, send it from the 'PC'.

Send update notifications to multiple members

You can select users of multiple devices to send update notifications.

  1. Select devices to send update notifications from the device list. You can select up to 100.
  2. When you select a device, the 'Update notification' button appears at the top of the list. When you press 'Update notification', a dialogue box to confirm whether to send an update notification appears.
  3. Press 'OK' to send an update notification to the member who uses the selected device. Send notification on 'Mobile' for mobile app update notification. For PC app notification, send it from the 'PC'.

Download device lists as a file

Download the search result for the information on devices that accessed LINE WORKS in a .csv file. If there are more than 5000 search results, the file is delivered via service notification.

  1. Select 'Security' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Device Status' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus. 
  2. After searching with the conditions necessary, press 'Download' on the right to download the search results.
