You can check and manage all device information accessed through the LINE WORKS mobile app, PC app, and Drive Explorer, including mobile devices registered as trusted devices.

View and manage devices

You can check and manage the list of mobile devices registered as trusted devices by activating 'login with the phone unlock method (FIDO)'.

Mobile

  1. Tap 'Home' on the bottom.
  2. Tap .
  3. Tap 'Device' from the menu.
  4. Check your mobile device under 'Trusted Devices'. To manage your mobile device, tap on the top right.
    • Change name: Edit the device name.
    • Remove Device: Remove to no longer log in with biometrics on that device.
    • Mark as Main Device: Change the device as a Main Device. When you log in on the PC web, PC app, or Drive Explorer with your mobile device, you can log in by approving the login request from the Main Device.
    • Verification history: Check the record of verification with the device.

PC Web

  1. Click your profile photo on the top right.
  2. Click on 'Device' from the menu.
  3. Check your mobile device under 'Trusted Devices'. To manage your mobile device, click on the top right.
    • Change name: Edit the device name.
    • Remove Device: Remove to no longer log in with biometrics on that device.
    • Mark as Main Device: Change the device as a Main Device. When you log in on the PC web, PC app, or Drive Explorer with your mobile device, you can log in by approving the login request from the Main Device.
    • Verification history: Check the record of verification with the device.

Check all connected devices

You can check the information of all devices connected to the LINE WORKS mobile app, PC app, and Drive Explorer.

If an app installed on each device is out of date, you can encourage an update to the latest version of the app by sending an update notification.

Also, when you lose your mobile device for work and are concerned about information leakage, you can remotely delete or reset data with the remote device management function.

Mobile

  3. Tap 'Device' from the menu.
  4. Check specific device information.

PC Web

  1. Click your profile photo on the top right.
  2. Click on 'Device' from the menu.
  3. Check specific device information.

You can check the following information in 'Device':

Model (Device name)
  • The model name of the device is shown.
  • To view more information of the device, click the information displayed. For devices with LINE WORKS MDM installed, you can delete the app data or reset the devices.
  • For LINE WORKS MDM users, you will be prompted to install a profile for remote mobile device management (MDM). If you are using an external MDM, the status of the profile installation cannot be checked on LINE WORKS, and the device will be shown as 'Unregistered'.
Device OS (version)
  • It shows the type and version of the device’s operating system.
Vendor ID
  • This is a unique value generated by the device and is not displayed on the device. The value changes when the device is reset but does not change even if the LINE WORKS app is deleted or reinstalled.
  • You can check the Vendor ID of devices that use LINE WORKS MDM and 3rd party MDM.
Device ID
  • The device ID is displayed. (Unregistered devices are displayed as 'unknown'. It is not exposed when the 'Admin > Security > Mobile Security > Remote device control' setting is set to Do not use.)
Installed app
  • The last LINE WORKS app and version accessed on this device are displayed.
  • If the mobile app is not up to date, you can send an update notice through service notification.
First access
  • It shows the date and time when the user first accessed the app on this device.
Recent access
  • It shows the date and time when the user most recently accessed the app on this device.
  • This information is updated when the user logs into the mobile app again, or when the user runs it again 24 hours after the last access.
Registered
  • You will see 'Registered' or 'Unregistered', depending on the device registration status. PCs are displayed as 'N/A'. (It is not exposed if the 'Admin > Security > Mobile Security > Remote device control' setting is set to Do not use.)
