You can add external LINE WORKS users to 'External Contacts'.
However, the administrator must allow connecting with external LINE WORKS users.
My profile, which external LINE WORKS users will see, displays photos, names, and company information added to company contacts.
External LINE WORKS users
To add external LINE WORKS users to 'External Contacts', the LINE WORKS user from another company must also be authorized by the administrator of the company to connect.
To search for and add external LINE WORKS users with a mobile phone number, the other party must first allow the mobile phone number to be searched.
Mobile
- Tap 'Contacts'.
- Tap .
- Tap 'Add External Contacts'.
- Tap 'External LINE WORKS Users'.
- You can immediately add a LINE WORKS user from another company as a contact if you know the ID, phone number, or have the user's QR code. When you search for the ID or phone number, you can check their name, company name, and profile picture. When added, the LINE WORKS user's contact will be registered in Clients/Partners.
However, if you do not know the ID, phone number or have the QR code, you can request to be added by sharing your QR code or business card image.
PC Web
- Click on the top.
- Click 'New'.
- Click 'External Contacts'.
- When you enter the other person's message ID or mobile phone number to search, you can see the name, company name, and profile picture.
- Click 'Add' to add the contact information of an external LINE WORKS user in 'Clients/Partners'. If you do not know the message ID of the other party, click 'Invite via Email' to send an invitation email.
Find contacts of external LINE WORKS users
You can find the contacts of external LINE WORKS users added to 'External Contacts' of Contacts.
External LINE WORKS users are marked with in the list.
Mobile
- Tap 'Contacts'.
- Tap .
- Tap 'External' to find the list of external LINE WORKS users you have added.
- Tap the name to view details of the contact.
PC Web
- Click on the top.
- Click 'External' on the left menu to find the list of external LINE WORKS users.
- Click the contact to view more information.
You can also check external LINE WORKS contacts in the message list in Messages.
Edit contact of an external LINE WORKS user
When you add an external LINE WORKS user to 'External Contacts', the user's name is automatically added to the contact name and nickname, and the company information is automatically added to the company.
LINE WORKS users from other companies you add are saved in 'External Contacts' and will be available in 'All Contacts' of the 'External Contacts' and 'External'.
If the contact is related to work, you can easily share the contact of the external LINE WORKS user with company members.

- Tap 'Contacts'.
- Tap .
- Tap 'External'.
- Tap the user you want to edit.
- Tap .
- Tap 'Edit'.
- Enter the contact information, and tap 'Save' to save changes.
PC Web
- Click on the top.
- Click 'External' on the left menu.
- Click the LINE WORKS user from another company to edit.
- Click in the detailed view of the contact on the right.
- Click 'Edit'.
- Edit the contact information, and click 'Save'.
Delete a contact of an external LINE WORKS user
You can also delete contacts of external LINE WORKS users you have added to your contacts.
Once a contact of the external LINE WORKS user is deleted, you can no longer exchange messages with the user.
However, if an external LINE WORKS user you added is in the message room with another company member, you cannot delete the user contact.

- Tap 'External'.
- Tap the contact you want to delete.
- Tap .
- Tap 'Delete' to delete the contact.
PC Web
- Click on the top.
- Click 'External' on the left menu.
- Click the contact you want to delete.
- Click in the detailed view of the contact on the right.
- Click 'Delete' to delete the contact.
The deleted contact will be stored in the Trash of Clients/Partners.
Restore a deleted external LINE WORKS user
You can restore contacts of external LINE WORKS users you have deleted from the Trash of Clients/Partners.
