Set up a proxy server

To use LINE WORKS Drive Explorer in a network environment that connects to the Internet via a proxy server, you need to set the proxy server information for each user.

Proxy server information can be set even if you are not logged in or have no Internet access.

The setting is only available on Windows.

Windows

  1. Right-click on the LINE WORKS Drive Explorer icon  in the task bar.
  2. Click 'Settings'.
  3. Click the 'Connect' tab.
  4. Select 'Proxy server settings'.
  5. Enter the proxy server information. All information is required, and the connection will fail if even one piece of information is missing.
    • Type: Select 'HTTP/HTTPS' or 'SOCKS' according to your network environment.
    • Server: Enter the IP address of the proxy server.
    • Port: Enter the port number to connect to the proxy server.
    • User: Enter the authentication ID of the proxy server.
    • Password: Enter the authentication password for the proxy server.
  6. Click 'Apply'. When the proxy server connection is complete, Drive Explorer restarts.

Proxy server settings may fail if the input is not entered or there is an error in the input.

In case of failure, the item will be marked in red, and the changes will be reflected only after editing and clicking Apply.

If you are unable to connect to the LINE WORKS server, you will not be able to connect to the proxy server.
