Manage boards

Add boards and select screen type to display for each board.

You can designate the Board Manager to manage members' board authorities, posts, and their comments. The Board Manager can set exceptions for the member's access to public boards.

Also, you can group multiple boards into one category.

For the Free plan, you can create a total of 10 boards and categories combined. For the Standard and Advanced plans, you can create up to 300.

Add, edit, and delete boards

Add boards

You can change the following in the Board Setting.

  • Board name
  • Description
  • Type
  • User scope
  • Designate the Board Manager
  1. Select 'Service' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Board' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus. 
  2. Select 'Manage boards' on the top.
  3. At the top right, press 'Add board' and enter the board description.
    • Board name: The name of the board.
    • Description: The description of the board.
    • Type: The form of the board to display on the PC Board service.
      • Board, Preview, and Album types are available.
    • Board Manager: You can add an administrator to manage the boards.
      • Board Managers can access the boards without View Authority.
      • Board Managers can change the member's access authority and add·delete existing posts and comments.
    • Authority: Set the member's authority for the boards you add. Boards are divided into 'Public board' and 'Member board' depending on the scope of members to give board access.
      • Public board: All members have the authority to write and read.
        • Exception management list: You can select exceptions for public board access based on members, employment types, and organizations. However, members designated as Board Managers are not treated as exceptions.
      • Member board: Only the selected members have the authority to write or read.
        • You can add members with an email address, name of a member, organization, and company.  Also, you can select authorities to give among write, read, write/read.
  4. Press 'Save' on the bottom.

Edit boards

You can edit the board's name, description, type, user scope, and the Board Manager.

  1. Select 'Service' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Board' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus. 
  2. Select 'Manage boards' on the top.
  3. From the board list, press the name of the board and then edit.
  4. Press 'Save' on the bottom.

Delete boards

You can delete the added boards.

Posts of the deleted board transfer to the Board's Trash and only the Board Manager who deleted the board can restore posts back to another board.

  1. Select 'Service' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Board' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus. 
  2. Select 'Manage boards' on the top.
  3. Press on the left of the board to delete from the list.
  4. Press 'Delete' on the top left.
  5. Check the precautions and then press 'Delete'.

Change board type

  1. Select 'Service' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Board' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus. 
  2. Select 'Manage boards' on the top.
  3. Select a board name to edit from the board list.
  4. Select the display type for the post lists from the board setting window. (Board, Preview, and Album Type)
  5. Press 'Save' on the bottom.

Apply templates to boards

Administrators and Board Managers can apply templates to boards.

By applying a template, you can immediately write on the applied template when writing a new post on the board.

However, the template applied to the board is not included when sharing a post.

  1. Select 'Service' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Board' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus. 
  2. Select 'Manage boards' on the top.
  3. Select the board to edit from the board list.
  4. Press 'Select template'.
  5. Select a template on the template list.
  6. Press 'Complete'.
  7. Press 'Save'.

Designate Board Managers

  1. Select 'Service' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Board' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus. 
  2. Select 'Manage boards' on the top.
  3. Select the name of a board to edit from the board list.
  4. Enter the name of a member to add as a Board Manager on the 'Board Manager' field of a setting window.
  5. Press 'Save' on the bottom.

Set as public board

Set the board as a public board

Set the board as 'Public board' to allow all members to use it.

  1. Select 'Service' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Board' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus. 
  2. Select 'Manage boards' on the top.
  3. Select the name of a board to make public.
  4. Select the 'Public board' option from the Authority section of a setting window.
  5. Press 'Save' on the bottom.

Hide board only to specific members, employment types, and organizations (departments)

You can manage exceptions for 'public board' by specifying members, employment types, or organizations (departments) to restrict access to public boards.

  1. Select 'Service' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Board' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus. 
  2. Select 'Manage boards' on the top.
  3. Select the name of a board to make public.
  4. Select the 'Member board' option from the Authority section of a setting window.
  5. You can make the Exception management list to limit the public board access based on organization, employment type, and each member.
    • Organization: You can add an organization to limit access to the board.
    • Employment type: You can limit access to the board by employment types.
    • Member: You can limit access to the board by each member.
  6. Press 'Save' on the bottom.

Grant board access to specific member or organization (department)

You can allow only the designated members or an organization (department) to read and write posts.

  1. Select 'Service' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Board' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus. 
  2. Select 'Manage boards' on the top.
  3. Select the name of a board to set as a Member board.
  4. Select the 'Member board' option from the Authority section of a setting window.
  5. You can add members for the board with their name, organization, and company name.
  6. You can give authority to read and write each or collectively to added members, organizations, and companies.

  7. Press 'Save' on the bottom.

Add, edit, and delete category

Add category

You can add categories and categorize boards. You can press the category name to fold and hide all the boards in the category. This is convenient for managing a large number of boards. In the board list, a horizontal line divides each category from another.

  1. Select 'Service' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Board' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus.
  2. Select 'Manage boards' on the top.
  3. At the top right, press the 'Add category' to access the window.
  4. Enter the name of the category.
  5. Press 'Add'.
  6. Check the category added to the bottom of the board list.

Edit category name

  1. Select 'Service' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Board' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus. 
  2. Select 'Manage boards' on the top.
  3. Press  the category name from the board list and then edit it.
  4. Press 'Save' on the bottom.

Delete category

You can delete the added category. When you delete a category, boards are released and become uncategorized.

  1. Select 'Service' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Board' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus. 
  2. Select 'Manage boards' on the top.
  3. Press on the left of a category to delete from the board list.
  4. Press 'Delete' on the top left.
  5. Check the precautions and then press 'Delete'.

Organize board

You can visually organize your board list by indenting or outdenting. Also, you can group similar boards by creating categories.

Indenting boards

Use indentation in the board list to visually organize the parent-subsidiary relationships within the board list. The use of indent or outdent is only for the visual effects and does not create a hierarchy in the board.

  1. Select 'Service' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Board' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus. 
  2. Select 'Manage boards' on the top.
  3. Press the 'Edit list' on the top right of the board list.
  4. Press on the left of the board name to outdent.
  5. Press 'Save' on the top left.

Press to cancel the indentation.

Change the order of boards and categories

You can change the order of the boards or categories in the board list.

If you change the order of the categories, the boards included changes accordingly.

  1. Select 'Service' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Board' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus. 
  2. Select 'Manage boards' on the top.
  3. Press the 'Edit list' on the top right of the board list.
  4. Change the order by dragging and dropping the icon on the left of the category or board.
  5. Press 'Save' on the top left.

Change the order of multiple boards and categories

You can change the order of display by dragging and dropping a board or category in the board list.

  1. Select 'Service' from the left to expand the menu and press 'Board' to access the page. On mobile, tap the button to access the menus. 
  2. Select 'Manage boards' on the top.
  3. Press the 'Edit list' on the top right of the board list.
  4. Change the order by dragging and dropping the icon on the left of the category or board. Multiple categories and boards can be selected to drag and drop.
  5. Change the order by dragging the icon next to the  displayed and dropping it to where you want.
  6. Press 'Save' on the top left.
