Restrict organizational chart access

CONTENTS

In LINE WORKS, all members can access the organizational chart, check the members of other organizations, and view a specific member’s profile. However, you can also restrict members from viewing other organizations and their members in the organizational chart.

Once restricted, members cannot view other members’ profiles and Calendar events except for those allowed for viewing even when they search on LINE WORKS Contacts.

You can restrict the search based on the following units: member, employment type, and organization.

Category Contents
Member Restriction settings apply only to the added members.

If a member has the restriction setting applied not only in the member unit but also in the employment type and organization, the restriction setting in the member unit is prioritized.

Employment type Restrictions apply to all members of this type of employment.
Organization Restriction settings apply to all members of this organization.

If the multiple restriction settings apply, priorities are in the order of Member, Employment type, and Organization.

You can set the scope allowed to view while adding restriction targets as the following.

 Option Description
Affiliated organization only Only can view the organizations that a member belongs to in the organizational chart.
Affiliated organizations and specified organizations Only can view the organizations that a member belongs to and organizations specified by the administrator(maximum 50) in the organizational chart.

When you select this option, the administrator must select the organizations other than the ones members belong to give access to view.

Unable to view Only can view themselves in the organizational chart.
